One night as I was at a shop, another customer (unknown/stranger) came. I could sense or say it was evident that he had already alcohol/drinks.
As the casual talk began, and background, I spontaneously said to him “ You are from North /part of Karnataka!” He was positively surprised and exclaimed in the open “yes, but how did you know?”. I smiled and moved on to the overall things.
The Constitution topic came. I was just observing and based on happenings, societies etc. I said what constitution! Just name sake and printed that’s it!
How many follow!?
The person positively instantaneously affirmatively respectfully and genuinely convincingly said, “No,” “There’s Constitution. It’s because of the Constitution that nobody can just come or even touch you. let alone harm you!”
I was happy that people are aware and respect the Constitution and know the very significance. Even a lay man, even half drunk, part drunk or whatever not, did/doesn’t matter; even he knows it and irrespective of drink/time, but very consciously.
Yes, that’s the Constitution for You, Me, and all in this country.
It’s our duty to respect it.
